2018 Interclub Challenge will be held on Saturday July 21st in Garrett Mountain, starting at the Great Lawn.
Use Google Maps and search for: Weaseldrift Road and Park Road, Clifton, NJ 07013. That should get you there. Please arrive by 8 a.m. for Bib pickup. The race will start at 9 a.m. (as usual). We will be doing a distance of 4 miles (2 loops around the park). As usual, this is an informal / unofficial club competition; no fees, no t-shirts, no goodie bag. Every runner counts!

This year we are trying something different with registration. We will be using RunnersSignup to register online for free, so this should save us a lot of time on race morning!

Please use the link to register:

For those who don’t have access to the internet, we will have race day registration at 8 a.m.

This run is handicapped based on age (by year) and sex (WAVA tables), so the oldest and most feminine start first. The young males start many minutes back and everyone else starts in between. Every finisher counts for the best club! Everyone has a shot to be the first runner in. Runners’ finishing positions are added up for club scoring. Each person will need to count his or her own laps! Also, as in prior years, bring refreshments and stuff to make a late-morning / mid-day picnic of it. Essex will provide coffee, water, bagels and donuts. NJ Masters promises quite a spread and we will undoubtedly be bringing food as well! Maybe we could do like previous years and bring bananas and sliced oranges.

Please let Ben know if you can bring bananas or sliced oranges.

If you can’t run please come and volunteer!
Each club should provide a minimum of 3 volunteers to assist at the finish, intersections, water stops, etc. We would like to have the individuals who have experience from last year (ideally) handle the registration and finish line.
This is your chance to informally meet with the other clubs in the area and have a great time. The price is right! FREE!!
Also unattached runners are welcome, so if you know anyone interesting in seeing other running clubs, invite them along to run or volunteer!

We would love to have as many Clifton members as possible show up and show our PURPLE POWER, and try and take the trophy back. Remember that everyone counts, no matter your speed or ability.

Thanks and we hope to see everyone there!
